- Galvanised expanded metal to strengthen brickwork, blockwork and partitions
- 300mm wide x 20 metres long
- Particularly desirable in footings, sleeper walls, cornices and parapets; also over openings for windows, doors etc.
- Normally the brickwork alone is of sufficient strength but in circumstances where greater strength is required to allow for uneven settlement and movement in buildings, it is desirable to use reinforcement in the joints
- Not only assists in distributing the loads evenly but reduces the possibility of cracking so common in these conditions
- Once mortared into brickwork the diamond-shaped meshes are anchored immovably so that the reinforcement cannot slip under tension
